King Soopers - Organic brown eggs are DYED!!
To prepare deviled eggs for Thanksgiving this year, I used one dozen Blue Sky Organic brown eggs, touted as pasture-raised, and one dozen Organic Valley Free-Range brown eggs, purchased from King Soopers. After boiling the eggs, and then rinsing in cold water, the brown color literally washed off and down the drain from some of the eggs, leaving a slightly discolored, pinkish looking shell.
In other words, the eggs had been dyed brown, obviously with a water-soluble dye โ but a dye, nonetheless. As I used both brands mentioned above in the same pot, I am not able to pinpoint which of these companies are falsely advertising their eggs, and not informing the public that they are using dyes on their eggs. For all I know, it could be BOTH companies. But this is absolutely disgusting, and I would greatly appreciate it if your company would investigate this matter and report back to me, before I take this to a public forum.
The price of these eggs is exorbitant, and essentially fraudulent advertising. I have had to select "Clover Valley Eggs to select a product below, as the other two brands are not included in the drop-down selections
