The King Soopers store, where I have shopped for many years, has decided that they will no longer open their express lanes, except during the very most busy days of the year. They want to force customers in to the self-service stations so they can cut back on the number of employees they have to pay.

I don't like the self-serve stations as there are frequently problems and 'glitches' that require waiting for help. Apparently, the 'bottom line' is more important than customer service at King Soopers.

If they'll give me a 3-5% discount when I check out my own groceries, then I'll consider using the self-service stations. Otherwise, I may look for a different grocer, at least for my small volume shopping.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Have at least ONE express lane open at all times..

I didn't like: Lack of express lanes.
