Today, at the Conifer Co. King Sooper, I got a watermelon from a bin outside the store and the sign said 2 for $5.00. Inside he store I saw the same watermelon and the sigh said $3.99/ea. at the check out cash register, they charged me $3.99 and I told the Checker the sign said 2 for $5.00 and I expected to pay $2.50 for the melon. The checker gave it to me for $2.50 and I told her that someone needed to fix the signs so I went to customer service and he person said lets get a produce person and the produce person said yes the melons outside were 2 for 5 because they were yellow inside. They also said I should get the melon for free but Justin in the customer service said no I did not get it for free.

The other food stores give you the product for free if it is mislabeled. What's with King Sooper?

This is not false advertising. You only get the deal if you buy two of them.

Nice try though.

Now if the sign said $2.50 each you would have a case. You are just angry that they did not fall for your trick.

At least you are not as horrid as that lady complaining to walmart about the same thing then hitting her child in anger because they stiffed her.

A customer wouldn't have to buy two to get the deal of two for $5. The King Sooper's policy is that a person doesn't have to buy all of the items, ie two of them to get the deal. So, if it's two for $5, then one is sold for $2.50, it's the policy.

Gotta Love it when someone is trying to *** us in order to get something for free, but, if this customer owned a restaurant and I asked him for a free meal he would probably tell me to get out before he calls the cops. How many of you King Soopers Employees would like to tell a hostile customer to get the *** out before you call the cops?

It wasn't mislabeled yellow watermelons and regular watermelons can be different prices, which is what is happening here. Also if the sign was wrong it would of been free.
